The Lajido Natural Pool is located in the Lajido area, part of the locality of Santa Luzia, in the municipality of São Roque do Pico. This bathing spot is integrated into a unique landscape area, deeply marked by the volcanic rock that characterizes the island. Its seafront position offers a direct connection with the Atlantic, framed within the distinguished Vineyard Culture Landscape of Pico Island, recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage site.

The Natural Formation

This bathing area is a remarkable example of the interaction between volcanic activity and the ocean. The pool is formed by volcanic rock formations that, over time, have created natural cavities where seawater accumulates.
