The monument Memória a D. Pedro IV is located in Angra do Heroísmo, in the Nossa Senhora da Conceição area. Positioned on the edge of a small plateau where the São Luís castle once stood, it offers a superior perspective over the city. Access is available both from the Jardim Duque da Terceira itself, to the south, and from the Largo do Castelo de São Luís, to the north.

The entire structure is coated and painted in an ocher tone, a color that extends to the "namoradeiras" (seating walls) existing on the platform. The decorative details and the surrounding wall of the platform are highlighted with white paint, creating a notable contrast and giving it a striking presence.
