Location

Located in the parish of Manadas, Santa Rita area, in the municipality of Velas, São Jorge island, Azores.

Type of Mill

It is a traditional wooden windmill with a rotating system, locally known as the "Faial" type, characteristic of the region.

Height and Structure

It is built at a low altitude (about 10 to 20 meters above sea level). It sits on a stone pedestal, approximately 3.70 meters in diameter at the base, surrounded by a stone track 9 meters wide.

Condition

Currently in a state of ruin, it remains a point of interest due to its heritage value and connection to the island's rural history.

Access

It can be visited by car. The last part of the route is via a dirt road and a short path on foot.
