- Located in Largo da Boa Nova, in the historical center of Angra do Heroísmo, on Terceira Island, Azores.

- The museum will include the military collection of the Angra do Heroísmo Museum, representing national and foreign Armed Forces.
- It is the only Portuguese military museum not linked to the Ministry of Defense.
- Classified as a Property of Public Interest.
- Part of the classified set of the Central Zone of the City of Angra do Heroísmo.
