The Central Park Setúbal extends along Avenida Luísa Todi, occupying the green strip that runs alongside this central artery of the city. Surrounded by historic buildings, cultural areas, and residential spaces, the park acts as a wide green corridor integrated into urban life.
The succession of gardens, sculptures, and pedestrian paths creates a tranquil atmosphere in the heart of Setúbal, where mature vegetation and traditional pavement shape the landscape.
The walk through the park reveals a continuous layout, marked by dense shade, landscaped clearings, and benches arranged along the paths. The Portuguese pavement, alternating with green areas, gives a cohesive visual identity to the space, inviting relaxed strolls and short outdoor breaks.
This environment combines nature, art, and daily life, allowing visitors to discover different cultural expressions at the pace of the journey.
The route begins with the Statue of Carlos Rodrigues, a tribute to a local figure connected to Setúbal's cultural scene. A few steps further is the colorful I LOVE STB installation, very popular as a photo spot due to its expressive form and direct reference to the city.
Further ahead stands the Gazebo of Avenida Luísa Todi, a traditional structure associated with Setúbal's urban memory. Continuing the journey, one encounters the delicate Girl with a Bicycle, by João Duarte, a piece with soft lines and a serene presence that marks the transition between garden areas.
Between sculptures and green areas, there is the public toilet, discreetly integrated into the space and useful for those walking through the park. Moving on, the Fountain of the Muses stands out, a sculptural and hydraulic ensemble with a strong scenic impact, where female figures rise above a continuous play of water.
Following the green axis, one finds the Monument to the Resistance, of contemporary expression, composed of robust metallic forms. Further along is the Anchor, a symbol of Setúbal's historical connection to the sea and the maritime tradition that characterizes the region.
Throughout the route, areas designated for rest appear, including the Limão Esplanada and the Esplanada Laranja. These open areas naturally integrate into the surroundings, allowing visitors to appreciate the park's movement in a relaxed environment.
Near a resting area, there are also the Dolphin statues, sculptures that evoke the presence of dolphins in the Sado estuary. The route culminates with the Choco Frito Statue, a fun piece representing one of the city's most emblematic delicacies, concluding the journey with a humorous note.
