The Madeira Theme Park offers a journey through the knowledge and culture of the archipelago. This space is dedicated to presenting, in a captivating way, the history, science, and traditions that have shaped these islands over time, providing a deeper understanding of their identity.
A central part of the visit are its pavilions. Through multimedia presentations and interactive experiences, visitors can explore different aspects related to the islands. The topics covered range from their discovery and historical evolution, through a perspective on the future, to a "fantastic journey" through the island of Madeira itself and the role of the islands in the global context.
The park features elements that evoke the island's traditional culture and life. It is possible to observe examples of regional handicrafts and find recreations of historical means of transport, such as ox carts or a replica of the Monte railway. A replica of the typical Santana house, with its vibrant colors and characteristic roofs, is also part of the scenery, showcasing the local traditional architecture.
In addition to the exhibition areas and recreations, the park features extensive gardens that invite visitors to stroll and enjoy the outdoor environment. With its considerable total area, there is space to explore the local flora, including species endemic to Madeira, and find quieter spots. A serene lake and a cedar maze add interest to the outdoor pathway, complementing the visit.
