Rebuilt in the 18th century after the 1755 earthquake, with the support of King D. José I and the help of donations from the inhabitants.
Simple chapel in late Baroque style, with a modest exterior structure and richer details inside.
Inside, it stands out for its polychrome clay panels with biblical scenes, as well as stuccowork and mural paintings.
It is located in an isolated rural area, with beautiful views over the Tapada de Mafra, being a calm point of great historical value.
Classified as a Property of Public Interest, it has been the subject of several restorations over the years to preserve its structure.
