Lagoa Lourel is located in the parish of Sintra, in a more secluded area of the municipality, surrounded by dense vegetation and small hills that give it a natural and tranquil environment. Despite being close to urban areas, it maintains a rural and discreet atmosphere, where green and silence predominate. Access is via dirt tracks that cross areas of scrubland and pasture.

The natural setting is marked by slopes covered with shrubs and small trees, creating a simple yet harmonious landscape. On clear days, the reflection of the vegetation on the water's surface forms a serene scene, inviting contemplation and rest.

The lagoon features calm, shallow waters, surrounded by spontaneous vegetation typical of the Sintra region.
