The Lisbon Military Museum is located in Largo dos Caminhos de Ferro, opposite Santa Apolónia Station, in Lisbon.
It is the largest military museum in Portugal and one of the oldest in the city, with a rich historical heritage. Since 1963, it has been classified as a Property of Public Interest.
Founded in 1842 in the Royal Army Arsenal to preserve war material. In 1851, it was officially designated the Artillery Museum, and in 1926 it received its current name.
The museum has a vast collection of weapons, uniforms, and historical military documents. Highlights include the bronze artillery pieces, one of the most complete worldwide.

, Plaster Room: Shows molds for important statues, such as that of D. José I.
The museum's cellars have been used for temporary exhibitions and cultural events since 1998.
In June 2022, the museum was distinguished with the degree of Honorary Member of the Military Order of Sant'Iago da Espada.
The museum offers a rich historical experience with around 26,000 pieces on display, including miniatures and unique historical objects.
