The Cornea Park is located in the urban area of Queluz and Belas, in the municipality of Sintra. Situated between residential areas, it is a green space that offers a tranquil contrast to the city's hustle and bustle. Its tall trees provide shade and a pleasant environment, making it a natural stopping point for those who live in or pass through the area.
The park extends across a gentle slope, with dirt paths and lawn areas that invite a relaxed stroll. The surroundings are marked by residential buildings, but the scenery retains a natural touch, with varied vegetation and typical nature sounds, creating a sense of refuge in the urban environment.
With vegetation composed of leafy trees and scattered shrubs, Cornea Park conveys a serene and simple atmosphere. The ground covered by leaves and the sound of birds reinforce the natural character of the space, ideal for moments of pause, reading, or walking with pets.
The light filtered by the treetops creates shadow plays that change throughout the day, giving the park a welcoming atmosphere. Stone benches and open areas allow for relaxed appreciation of the space, whether for walking or simply observing the surrounding activity.
More than just an urban garden, Cornea Park is a place for daily coexistence. Frequented by local residents, it is common to see families, the elderly, and dog walkers enjoying the tranquility of the place. The simplicity of the park is precisely what gives it authenticity and social value.
Although it does not have large structures or decorative elements, its value lies in the function it performs for the community: a small green lung that offers fresh air and moments of rest in the heart of Queluz and Belas.
