Mil Regos Beach is located on the coast of the municipality of Mafra, a few kilometers from the town of Ericeira. It is nestled between limestone cliffs, facing the vast Atlantic Ocean.
The sandy area extends along a natural cove, surrounded by rocky slopes that give the space a more reserved character.
The cliffs feature strata with tones ranging from ochre to yellow, contrasting with the deep blue of the sea. The rough sea creates a dynamic scenery, accompanied by the echo of waves breaking on the rocks.
At the southern end of the beach, there is a submerged reef integrated into the Ericeira World Surfing Reserve, where waves are formed that are appreciated by surfers.
The sandy area is discreet, with fine sand and some scattered stones, making it ideal for those who value a quieter environment. During low tide, rocks emerge, forming small natural pools.
Access is via a descent down the cliff, between large blocks of pebbles, requiring some care when moving. There is informal parking space near the top of the cliff.
Mil Regos invites contemplation and rest, away from the hustle and bustle of larger beaches. The rhythmic sound of the waves offers a tranquil atmosphere, perfect for those seeking intimate contact with coastal nature.
For those who enjoy recreational fishing, the side rocks provide interesting spots where nets or rods can be cast, taking advantage of the proximity to the reef.
