Alfornelos Linear Park is located in the town of Alfornelos, integrated within the Encosta do Sol urban development, in the municipality of Amadora. This green space is harmoniously integrated into the urban fabric, offering a transitional and leisure area for residents and visitors exploring this residential zone.
This park is the result of a requalification project for the former Estrada de Alfornelos (Alfornelos Road), which transformed an existing thoroughfare into a green corridor dedicated to leisure and well-being. Its design took sustainability into account, opting for the planting of native plant species. This choice contributes to an environment that naturally integrates into the local landscape, promoting biodiversity and reducing the need for maintenance.
Alfornelos Linear Park was designed to encourage outdoor activities. It features a dedicated pedestrian track, which connects with other routes in the municipal network, inviting visitors to relaxed strolls and walks. Additionally, for those seeking a more specific workout, there is a fitness circuit equipped with cardio fitness machines, allowing visitors to exercise in an open and pleasant setting.
