In the center of a square in Mafra, near the National Palace of Mafra and the Municipal Museum.
A curious 18th-century pillory in Baroque style, made of lioz limestone, with a very elaborate base and a pyramid-shaped top.
Symbol of local justice and authority, where public punishments were applied.
It even served as the base for a street lamp until it became just a monument again.
Classified as a Property of Public Interest since 1933.
