The gallery, which functions as painter David Levy Lima's studio, is located in the Historic Urban Center of São Pedro do Estoril. It is easily recognizable along the Marginal road, in the coastal area. One of the distinctive features of the place is how art expands beyond the interior, with some canvases displayed on the sidewalk, capturing the attention of passers-by.
This space serves as the creative hub for David Levy Lima, an artist with a long-standing connection to São Pedro do Estoril. Upon entering, or even when observing from outside, one encounters an environment filled with his works. It is a place that reflects the creative process, with paintings arranged invitingly, showcasing the diversity of his work and the atmosphere of a true working studio.
David Levy Lima's work, which is showcased in this studio, has gone through various phases throughout his career. Born in Cape Verde, the self-taught artist evolved into a distinctly personal style. Today, his oil painting is known for its use of vibrant colors, expressive brushstrokes, and a focus on themes that evoke tranquility. He frequently portrays landscapes reminiscent of his origins in Cape Verde, but also scenes of Cascais Bay, the coast, or moments of urban life, always with a rich and luminous palette.
