- Located in Praça do Município, in the center of the town of Azambuja, municipality of Azambuja, District of Lisbon.
- Classified as a Property of Public Interest since 1933.
- Made of limestone.
- Base with three octagonal steps.
- Body with an octagonal base.
- Cylindrical and helical shaft, decorated with rosettes.
- Top with a truncated pyramid, containing coats of arms with fleurs-de-lis, acanthus leaves, and volutes.
- Four iron restraints with zoomorphic motifs.
- Charter granted by D. Sancho I in 1200 and confirmed by D. Afonso II in 1218.
- Renewed in 1272 and 1513.
- Pillory built after the renewal of the charter.
- Dismantled in the second half of the 19th century due to administrative reforms.
- Rebuilt in 1968 with remains scattered throughout the town.
