, The Pillory of Ansião is located in Ansião, in the district of Leiria, Portugal¹.
, It was erected in the 17th century, specifically in 1686, in front of the residence of the Counts of Ericeira (which later became the Town Hall) in the center of the Village.

, It is a graceful pillory, with an octagonal shaft and the arms of the Count of Ericeira.
, An inscription on the pillory mentions the grace granted to D. Luís de Meneses, Count of Ericeira, for his merits in war and peace.
, The crown above the inscription displays a quartered shield with the Count's arms, quarters 1 and 4 with the Portuguese arms and quarters 2 and 3 with three fleurs-de-lis in a triangle.
, Today, the Pillory is in Largo do Pelourinho, in front of the headquarters of the Parish Council.
, Its base rests on eight stone balls, representing the parishes of the municipality, making it one of the most beautiful pillories in the region.
