The Anta da Pedra da Orca, also called Anta do Rio Torto, is located in Rio Torto, in the municipality of Gouveia, near kilometer 103 of National Road No. 17.
This megalithic monument is classified as a Property of Public Interest since 1951, due to its historical and archaeological importance.
In 1895, excavations in the area revealed several artifacts such as flint and quartz arrowheads, beads, a clay pot, ceramic fragments and human bones, indicating the relevance of the site.
The Anta dates from the end of the Neolithic period and has a polygonal burial chamber with approximately three and a half meters in diameter. The structure includes an access corridor and still retains the covering slab, known as the "hat".
Although the mound that originally covered the monument is not visible, the anta remains an impressive example of the funerary architecture of the time.
