Located in Praça Sacadura Cabral, in Pinhel, Casa Grande, also known as the former Solar dos Antas e Meneses, is situated in front of the city's Pillory.

History

Built in the early 18th century, this house was acquired by the 1st Viscount and Count of Pinhel in later times.

Historical Significance

Classified as a Property of Municipal Interest since 1982, Casa Grande was the residence of local nobles and served as headquarters during the third French invasion in 1810.

Current Function

Until recently, it housed the Pinhel City Council, which is now temporarily located elsewhere due to renovation work on the building.
