The Chapel of Nossa Senhora da Consolação is located in the parish of Santiago, in the city of Tavira, in the municipality of Tavira.
The chapel was built in 1648 by the Brotherhood of Nossa Senhora da Consolação dos Presos.
The chapel is located in front of the old Tavira Civil Prison, where those condemned to death spent their last hours. It is named in honor of this fact.
The chapel has a simple interior, with a 17th-century tile skirting board.
Inside the chapel, several paintings depicting the Virgin Mary and the Passion of Christ can be observed.
