Location

Praia do Mirouço is located on the coast of the municipality of Vila do Bispo, in the Algarve region. It is a beach facing the Atlantic Ocean, integrated into the Costa Vicentina area.

The site is located within the boundaries of the Southwest Alentejo and Vicentine Coast Natural Park, which contributes to the preservation of the surrounding natural landscape.

The Sandy Area and Tides

Visitors to Praia do Mirouço will find a considerable sandy area, which stretches along the base of the cliffs that flank it. The size of the sandy area varies significantly with the tide movement.

It is important to pay attention to the tide table, as during high tide, the available area on the sand significantly decreases.

The Cliffs

Praia do Mirouço is framed by imposing coastal cliffs. These rock formations dominate the beach's landscape, creating a more secluded environment.

The presence of the high escarpments contributes to the sense of isolation and natural beauty of the place.

Path to the Sandy Area

It is important to know that access to Praia do Mirouço requires some preparation. After traversing a dirt road that approaches the coast, the final access to the sandy area is via a trail.

This pedestrian path, which descends the cliff, is described as having a high level of difficulty. It should be traversed carefully and may not be suitable for all visitors.
