The Casa Amarela, Municipal Gallery is located in the heart of Castelo Branco's Historic Centre, more precisely in Largo da Sé. Being in this area allows visitors to experience the atmosphere of the city's oldest part.
The gallery is housed in a building with its own history, having previously served as the local CTT (postal services) offices. This adaptation of a space that had another life gives it a particular identity within the city.
The space is dedicated to presenting contemporary art exhibitions. It regularly hosts shows by artists, both Portuguese and of other nationalities, who already have a consolidated trajectory in the world of visual arts.
Casa Amarela serves as an important complement to Castelo Branco's cultural activity, working in articulation with the Contemporary Culture Centre. Its mission is to promote current visual arts, offering a suitable venue for artistic productions that require a specific type of exhibition space.
