Rustic and Traditional Architecture

Built in granite stone, the chapel features a simple structure, typical of old rural religious buildings in the Beira Interior region.

Tranquil and Picturesque Setting

Located in a small cobbled square and surrounded by vegetation and hills, it conveys an atmosphere of peace and contemplation, ideal for those seeking authentic and silent places.

Visible Historical Elements

Highlights include the bell tower with a cross and bell, a robust wooden door, and a small external pulpit, demonstrating the ecclesiastical tradition and the community function of the chapel in the past.

Crucifix with Tile Panel

In front of the chapel stands a stone crucifix, flanked by moss-covered steps, with a panel of religious tiles that enriches the location with color and symbolism.

Set in a Natural Mountain Landscape

The chapel is nestled among olive trees, oaks, and mountain scenery, with views of the hills and typical regional vegetation, making it an interesting point for pedestrian walks or small tourist detours.

Accessibility and Authenticity

Located next to a cobblestone road and well integrated into the village fabric, it is easily accessible and well represents the religious and cultural heritage of small inland Portuguese settlements.
