The Aborim Tower is located in the parish of Quintiães and Aguiar, in the municipality of Barcelos, in the district of Braga, in Portugal.
The Aborim Tower has been considered a Property of Public Interest since 1978.
It is believed that the Aborim Tower was founded during the Middle Ages. It consisted of two towers belonging to the noble family of Barbosa.
At the end of the 19th century, one of the towers was demolished to make way for the construction of the Minho Line, by decision of the French engineer responsible for the project. Subsequently, the remaining manor house was acquired at a reduced price and remodeled, acquiring a romantic appearance with medieval influences.
Over the years, the Aborim Tower has suffered several mutilations, including the theft of the coat of arms of the Barbosa family.
