Situated in the city of Esposende, within the municipality of the same name, this sports infrastructure is integrated into the local urban environment. Its position makes it easily identifiable and accessible for those exploring the town's central area, serving as a landmark for the Esposende sports community.
This venue, officially known as Padre Sá Pereira Stadium, is the home ground for the matches of the Associação Desportiva de Esposende. With a capacity to host one thousand and seven hundred spectators, it plays a central role in the sporting life of the locality, serving as the meeting point for football enthusiasts in the region.
The history of this place is intrinsically linked to the trajectory of Associação Desportiva de Esposende, a club founded in 1978, but with roots in the old "Esposende Sport Club," which dates back to 1921. The club's emblem, representing Santa Maria dos Anjos, the city's patron saint, is a symbol of the strong connection between sport and local identity.
The stadium's facilities underwent significant modernization in 2013, with the installation of an artificial turf. This redevelopment reflects a commitment to the quality of the space and adaptation to the needs of modern football, offering a playing field prepared for the demands of competitions.
