The Lomar Park is located in the Lomar area, in the locality of Mouta, in the municipality of Braga. It is situated next to Rua da Mouta (N309), in a quiet residential area, between housing buildings and small amateur gardens.
Its proximity to the urban fabric allows for easy access on foot, offering an pleasant experience for both those who live nearby and those who pass by car on the national road.
In the center of the park, a multi-sport court stands out with a colorful floor in shades of blue and green, delimited by low fencing and with concrete bleachers on the sides. It is ideal for informal football and basketball games.
Next to the court, there is a recreational area with impact-absorbing flooring, featuring benches integrated into the ground and children's play equipment, such as small slides and swings, all on a cushioned base that ensures greater comfort.
The park is integrated into a green belt bordered by medium-sized trees and improvised flowerbeds at the top of a gentle slope. This vegetation creates a cool and shaded environment during the warmer months.
In some areas, paved pedestrian paths allow for observation of the surrounding rural landscape, amidst stone walls and domestic gardens, reinforcing the sense of calm and direct contact with nature.
Although there are no formal records of its creation date, Lomar Park emerges as a local facility designed to serve families and young people of the parish, contributing to the social life and outdoor activities.
The simple layout, without large monumental structures, reflects a logic of functional urban green space, where support for play and relaxation combines with the daily lives of the residents.
