The Church of Ruílhe is located in the town of the same name, Ruílhe, which is part of the municipality of Braga. This area is situated in the southwest region of the city of Braga.

Community Roots

Although the current church building is a more recent construction, the history of the parish of Ruílhe has deep roots in time. There are records mentioning the existence of this locality and its parochial organization since the 13th century.

As the center of the parish, the church thus accompanies the long evolution and experiences of the local community throughout the centuries, serving as a testament to its historical and cultural continuity.

The Current Temple

The church that today serves the population of Ruílhe is a building constructed in more recent times. Its construction was an initiative driven by the figure of Father David de Oliveira Martins, who played an important role in the social and community dynamics of the parish.

This modern temple was designed to meet the needs of the community, reflecting the evolution of the locality throughout the 20th century.
