The Pontével Square is located in the area known as Cruz, in Angeja, within the municipality of Albergaria-a-Velha. It is situated by the main road, in a space integrated between the roadway and a set of small parking areas, which ensures easy visibility and pedestrian accessibility.
The urban setting combines Portuguese pavement and granite curbs with green elements, such as a line of deciduous trees, which offer shade and a resting spot for passers-by.
At the base of the square stands a stone plaque with the inscription “Praceta Vila de Pontével 25-Julho-2009”, marking its inauguration date. The municipal coat of arms engraved on the plaque evokes the heraldic heritage of Albergaria-a-Velha, establishing a link between the place and the collective identity of the region.
This symbolic landmark recalls the creation of a public space designed to serve the community, representing a moment of urban dynamism at the beginning of the 21st century.
