The Branca Municipal Pool is located in the town of Branca, part of the Albergaria-a-Nova area, within the municipality of Albergaria-a-Velha. This facility is well integrated into the parish environment, offering a reference space for aquatic activities.

A Complete Aquatic Facility

Inaugurated in 2007, the Branca Municipal Pool is an indoor facility, a characteristic that allows for its continuous use, regardless of weather conditions. The space consists of two distinct pools: a sports pool and a learning pool. The sports pool, 25 meters long and 12 meters wide, features six lanes and a depth ranging from 1.10m to 1.85m, making it suitable for all aspects of swimming. The learning pool, 12 meters by 6 meters, has a depth between 70cm and 1.10m, ideal for those starting to swim or seeking a quieter environment.

Comfort and Accessibility

Designed for the comfort of its users, the pool maintains pleasant water temperatures: between 28 and 29°C in the sports pool, and between 29 and 30°C in the learning pool. A notable aspect is the focus on accessibility, evidenced by the inclusion of an access ramp in the learning pool, facilitating water entry for people with special needs. Additionally, for those accompanying or watching, bleachers with a capacity for 200 seated places are available, providing a clear view of the activities in the water.
