The Pillory of Angeja is located in Largo da República, in the parish of Angeja, in the municipality of Albergaria-a-Velha, district of Aveiro, in Portugal.
It is a monument of historical relevance, rebuilt in 1902, as indicated on its pedestal.
The Pillory of Angeja is considered a Property of Public Interest since 1933, according to Decree No. 23,122.
The pillory is composed of a block elevated in two steps, with a parallelepiped platform. The cylindrical shaft has a ring capital, while the top is formed by a quadrangular block with a frieze at the extremities. On the faces of the top, the national arms and the armillary sphere topped by the Cross of Christ can be observed.
It is not known for sure whether some of the elements present in the pillory are remnants of a previous structure.
