The Panorâmica do Detrelo da Malhada is located in the locality of Moldes, in the municipality of Arouca, in an area designated as Chão de Espinho. The Panorâmica do Detrelo da Malhada is a recognized geosite of the Arouca Geopark, a territory classified by UNESCO. Its geological uniqueness is marked by the presence of spotted schists, metamorphic rocks that form the base of the viewpoint's structure, appearing verticalized as natural walls of Serra da Freita. Given its altitude and exposure, this area is naturally windy, which is evident from the presence of a wind farm in the vicinity, an element that integrates into the characteristic mountain landscape.
