A Centre for Cultural Preservation

Inaugurated in 2003, the Arada Museum Centre plays a fundamental role in the conservation of the municipality's heritage. This space is one of two structures that comprise the Central Hub of Ovar's Museum Network. Its vocation is essentially technical, featuring a conservation and restoration workshop, where work is done to preserve and rehabilitate objects and collections. The Centre also collaborates in the organization and setup of external exhibitions and in lending its collection, allowing pieces to reach a wider audience.
