The Church of Saint Saviour of Roge is located in the parish of Roge, in the municipality of Vale de Cambra, in the district of Aveiro, in Portugal.
The church was built in the 18th century.
The Church of Roge presents a Baroque architecture, following the regional style of the time. Its facade is rich in ornaments and reflects the influence of Joanine architecture. The stone details stand out, showing the skill of local artisans.
The church's floor plan consists of a single nave, two opposing side chapels, a semicircular chancel, a sacristy on the left side, and a bell tower attached to the right. The facade has two main doors and four rectangular windows, in addition to two windows in the chancel. The tower has gargoyles in the shape of frogs and spiral pinnacles. At the top of the tower, there is an armillary sphere with a weather vane representing an angel with a sword.
The main facade features pilasters at the corners, an architrave cornice, and a portal flanked by two twisted columns with vegetal decoration on the capitals. There is a window with applied motifs above the portal, accompanied by two trumpeting children.
Inside, the nave ceiling is made of wood, with a semicircular shape and paintings of religious scenes in coffers. The choir is elevated and has a stonework arch with the date 1890 engraved. There is also loose filings and a niche in the wall above the chancel arch. In the side chapels, the granite baptismal font stands out, as well as the altarpieces and 18th-century sculptures dedicated to the Virgin Mary, Saint Anthony, and Our Lady of the Rosary.
