The Cruzeiro de Roge is located in the churchyard in front of the Main Church, in the parish of Roge, in the municipality of Vale de Cambra, district of Aveiro, in Portugal.
- Construction: Erected in 1762, along with the church facade, reflecting the concern with ornamentation and wealth of the time.
- Destruction and abandonment; Suffered significant damage due to a storm in 1945 and was forgotten for a long period.
- Reconstruction: After the efforts of councilor Joaquim de Oliveira Maurício and the Parish Council, the reconstruction request was sent to the then President of the Council of Ministers, Oliveira Salazar. The cross was restored by the architect Baltazar Castro, with the help of Aníbal Brandão and Manuel Brandão, master stonemasons from the region.
- Architectural style: Represents the religious architecture of the Baroque, in the Joanine style.
- Dimensions: It is approximately 14 meters high and is set on a platform of four octagonal steps.
- Structure: The cross is composed of a pedestal, a column with a cylindrical shaft and a Corinthian capital. Above the capital, there is a plinth with a sphere and a cross with quadrangular arms and floral terminations.
- Ornamental details: The pedestal has four atlantes and infant busts on each of its faces. The child-atlantes are bent over to simulate effort. The column features floral decoration in its lower third and lozenges with geometric designs in the upper part, each of them decorated with a floral button.
- Recognition: It has been classified as a Property of Public Interest since April 1949, according to Decree No. 37366.
