Its activities ranged from the support and education of children, to the promotion of women's handicrafts and the provision of healthcare. Evolution and Adaptation to the Present

In 1987, "A Providência" gave way to the current Romariz Social and Parish Center, marking a new phase in its history. This transition brought with it the expansion of its areas of intervention, which came to include support for school-aged children. Later, in response to the growth of the senior population in the parish, the institution adapted once again, developing new services dedicated to this age group. The center thus symbolizes a community's ability to adapt and continue to serve generations, keeping alive its original mission of support and social integration.
