Situated on the Rua Principal (Main Street) of Mosteirô, in the Union of Parishes of São Miguel de Souto and Mosteirô, within the municipality of Santa Maria da Feira, the equestrian center is nestled in a small rural valley, surrounded by agricultural fields and scattered pine forests, typical of the Baixo Vouga landscape.
The setting is tranquil: secondary roads, family farms, and the distant profile of the Feira Castle complete a serene scene, far from urban bustle but still close enough to the main regional roads.
The day begins early with the sound of hooves on cobblestones and the scent of fresh hay. In the late afternoons, golden light streams through the open-air arena, casting long shadows of the animals in training. The atmosphere is relaxed; passersby at the gate encounter experienced riders, curious beginners, and sometimes groups of children participating in horse-assisted therapy.
The management prioritizes a close relationship between visitors, animals, and nature, inviting observation of the daily routines of feeding, grooming, and saddling.
The space features three arenas (one covered, useful on rainy days, and two outdoors) in addition to approximately 20 ventilated boxes, hay storage areas, and a small sand track for walk work. The wooden and masonry stables maintain a mild temperature year-round, ensuring the animals' comfort.
A garden area with resting tables serves as a meeting point for those awaiting the start of lessons or rides, while the premises have ramp access, facilitating mobility for people with special needs.
Activities range from riding lessons for all levels to guided rides along the nearby rural paths. There is also therapeutic riding, designed to promote physical and emotional well-being, and horse baptisms, ideal for first-time riders.
Private events, such as small celebrations or photo shoots, can also be organized on the premises, taking advantage of the countryside setting and direct contact with the animals.
The team is small but experienced: certified instructors accompany each lesson individually, while stablehands ensure the daily care of the horses. Comments from visitors highlight the owner's friendliness and professionalism, as well as their attentive work with children and young people in a therapeutic context.
For a memorable photograph, the best framing is obtained in the late afternoon, by the outdoor arena, when the sun sets over the hedges, highlighting the brown tones of the horses' coats against the open sky.
