This chapel has a history dating back to the 17th century and was built to replace a small 15th-century oratory, which still houses a very old sculpture of the Virgin.
The architecture of the chapel follows the Mannerist style. It has a rectangular shape with a beautiful facade.
Inside the chapel, you will find a single nave with stone benches. Highlights include the well-decorated pulpit on the right and the main altarpiece, with Mannerist carvings and an ancient sculpture of the Virgin and Child, surrounded by saints.
The Chapel of Nossa Senhora das Lezírias is considered a monument of public interest due to its historical and architectural importance. This makes it a valuable place for tourists who wish to learn about the cultural heritage of the region.
