Founded on September 11, 1898, the Banda Musical Flor da Mocidade Junqueirense, initially known as Filarmónica Flor da Liberdade Junqueirense, is a living testament to resilience and passion for music. Its history, spanning over 126 years, reflects the dedication of generations who, despite initial challenges, kept this tradition alive. It is the oldest collective in the municipality of Vale de Cambra, with an uninterrupted trajectory that makes it a true cultural pillar in the region.

Since its foundation, this band has been much more than a group of musicians; it is a symbol of unity, companionship, and identity for the parish of Junqueira. Its current facilities, inaugurated in 1995, offer adequate space for the approximately 68 musicians who compose it. Most of these instrumentalists are trained in their own Manuel Joaquim de Almeida Music School, ensuring the continuity of talent and keeping the musical flame alive in the local community, serving as a meeting point and training center for young people and adults.
