The Cultural Center is located in Amoreira da Gândara, a locality that is part of the municipality of Anadia. Its presence in the urban area of Amoreira da Gândara gives it a central role as a meeting point and cultural hub for the community and for visitors to the region.
Inaugurated in 2001, this municipal facility was conceived as a dynamic center for cultural promotion. The building houses various facilities, designed to offer visitors an enriching journey through arts and knowledge, from reading and research to artistic contemplation.
Inside, the Cultural Center houses collections with particular significance. Notable among these are the libraries, dedicated to distinguished figures: the Rodrigues Lapa library, which pays tribute to a renowned philologist, and the Luciano de Castro library, in memory of a prominent statesman. Furthermore, the space features two galleries for exhibitions. One of them is permanent and displays works by the painter Paul Nicholas Woronoff (1914-1989), an artist with roots in Georgia. There is also a space dedicated to the figure of Manuel Ribeiro (1879-1936), a soldier native to Anadia who was awarded the Order of the Tower and Sword, the highest Portuguese decoration.
